Welcome!
The American dream with one of the first things we decided to do we started reading of The Great Gatsby Reading the Declaration of Independence and the Declaration of Sentiments comparing the two saying what what's the difference in seeing the meaning of both as well as the book. We wrote many essays on the Declaration of Independence and sentiment trying to look at how to write a comparative essay how to write a Analytical essay This is all about quarter 1
reflection American dream prompt
I think his view a little unrealistic In my opinion I understand that the American dream is something that just got a lot of work but the thought, that you can have leisure while you pursue your dream is ridiculous i agree that the child should be able to enjoy his childhood without having to pursue his dreams yet I feel like it that is definitely the last thing that should be in that child's mind those dream differently should come from in adults I really do believe that a child should enjoy his life to the fullest as he is still a child But in life there are things you can't be helped in the pursuit of your dreams are your dreams and pursue them on your own you should have the right pursue what you want in life but no one should help you do it that is something that you should do on your own The only thing that the United States can't do it stop you from doing what you want to do but they are definitely entitled to help you Your social standing isn’t a blockade what you can do After all there have been dozens of people who've come from the same place and achieved great things But there's no time to worry about things like family and friends and having fun when you are pursuing something much greater you have to tell yourself that there is nothing on your mind but one single thing and it is this your dream, your American Dream

Quarter 1 Columnist Rhetorical Analysis Reflection
During the first quarter we were given assignment to look up a journalist and see his patterns of how he wrote my journalist was named Adam Brodsky he was a journalist of the New York Post From his writing I can really tell that he was a Republican he loved to focus a lot on education Actually most of the topics he had were about the chancellor of New York and How many grudges he had against her How much he questioned her policies The way he wrote was very authoritative He always wrote like a knew better in a sort of narcissistic way I'm surprised how much he loved to use logos to the advantage bringing up a lot of things Education is one of those things that are very document it it wasn't very hard for him to bring up facts and statistics about it that's why I think he used it a lot And rightfully so you really strengthen his argument Make one of those appalling documentaries about the educational school system Who did you the letter rhetoric That Bashed others, very bold in my opinion Spending two months reading his work he's definitely not someone I’ll forget One of the other things he like’d to do Was being really sarcastic To emphasize the truth in a humorous way

1 Novel, The Great Gatsby
I do feel like it is true in humans get something they want they always just want the next thing like someone buying a 2015 phone but when they see the 2016 phone they just have to have it This is the way we think we always want more for certain people happiness requires much more In the book The Great Gatsby, Gatsby wanted to be rich as a child he knew that he was destined for more and that the life of a noble was his but even achieving that wasn't enough then he wanted to achieve happiness And for that to happen he needed Daisy Even with everything he had the abundance of money there was still something missing and he knew it I do believe that humans always want more but I don't see that as a bad thing I feel like it's all for the taking if you're willing to risk it and gatsby risked it and it cost him his life When did the Declaration of sentiments see that there is more to be desired when it came to Freedom and how there's always more to actually pursue true happiness that was definitely one of the text that incorporated that As well as The Great Gatsby I don't know if there's actual true satisfaction I think someone just have to tell themselves that this is truly what they want and enough is enough it's always different for every person so I can be satisfied with what they have another can’t that's just how it is.

Jefferson-Stanton Comparison Rhetorical Analysis Essay.
I really owe it to myself to do better I feel like I had no determination to this comparison I held it off for the longest the closer the deadline came up I just told myself do it, do it, do it yet I still unable to do it Unable to come up with something it seems that comparison essays are really not my strong point and i really don’t write freely when it comes to comparative essays and i do oath to do better next time

Favorite Quarter 1 40-Minute Timed Write.
Synthesis essays was one of my favorite essays to write Because I felt like I was finding the solution to a problem and solving it While being able to give my opinion It was truly one of the most liberating things I wrote and I'm not sure I even wrote it correctly because i still don’t even know how to write one yet but i was given the task and i solved it in a way that suited me and the way i like to write
QUARTER 1 REFLECTION.
First quarter of this semester I truly feel like I learned a lot I was felt that writing an essay was one of the most limiting things That there's only one way to do it and that's how you do it there is a 5 structure and you follow it in consecutive order you find the evidence put it there and you explain it and that's it I was never taught to write where I can put my own input to have the right to be free to say what I wanted and put a little bit of me in a piece of writing Definitely huge realization for me and I'm kind of glad I took this class and I'm being really honest All they had to do with actually be able to know how to write these types of essays and learn all the vocabulary that comes with this class other than that I think I can handle it
QUARTER 2

Hurston
For me it seemed that she loved to use a lot of metaphors to explain to people her identity and what her thought process was.The other one of the other things I thought was a huge amount of symbolism when it came to expressing your thoughts and ideas as well .Never times where she was in a different situations and to explain it to other people she would phrase it differently. When she was in a relationship What that really mean guy Who would verbally abused her It was a symbol for what marriage really meant what love meant what being a woman man Her frustrations went to that marriage and a lot of it was carried in her writing.

Quarter 3
Huxley believed in a world were human created other humans and made them perfect for their specific functions. This being the question if humans even have the right to create what is already natural. To mess with what the world or (god) has given us. should humans play a role in the creation of another being. I don't see what is wrong with this , I believe that it is within the human nature to adapt and change to tamper is it any different than creating vaccine we making thousands of drugs that change the human brain all the time. How different could it be to change a human fetus than it is to pop a pill and get an effect of its dosage, drugs are always changing the way you think.
another thing being "choice" people in our world are given the "choice" to do what ever they want. In Huxley book people really aren't given a choice they're given a purpose a single task to do for their entire lives they didn't ask for that purpose , they didn't choose that purpose, it was chosen for them. now people in our life are given the choice to do what we want choose what we wanna do but as i see it options are always imaginations because we choose them because of influence where it being I'm going to buy a frappe because i saw a McDonald ad or being a doctor because my parent were in the end you only choose that route because factors influenced you to do so.
Individuality with one of the major points in the book where everyone is their own person but in this book people are kind of like carbon copies of each other because they all share the same blood they all share the same characteristics and they are all bred that way on purpose And I think about it in the real world where there are 7.1 billion people how hard could it be to find a person who look similar to you who talk similar to you who think similar to you it really isn't that difficult in a way to find somebody like that Yeah in our society we take individuality and we make it a huge importance we make it very clear that being an individual is a good thing being different it is encouraged but in this society how truly different can you be with someone else

The third quarter was really crazy I can tell you that I don't think I have traveled more a third quarter than any other quarter this so far have been the hardest I feel like I couldn't keep up with anything and I did below then I should have I feel like I should have just reached a lot farther and because I didn't finish some of my assignments that really dragging me down and I wasn't able to achieve that last little boost I needed to get the score I really wanted so I settled for Less because in the end I was being a little lazy. Thankfully this time around I was actually interested in the book I was reading A Brave New World and that that really encouraged me to care about the subject because I really wasn't that Keen on last quarter's book finally reading something that was a pleasure kind of help me through my studies There really was a lot I love the netbook how much I ain't felt like I had a connection with the author because I kind of understood where he was coming from where he was going and what he was talking about and in some ways I agreed with him a lot. A lot of the time right with it this time round row little confusing I had trouble with these tough work we had I didn't clearly understand that when we got it I tried to start and then everybody just told me to stop so I did the ones we did start on the time the right it felt like I was doing so well like I was writing so great I felt like everything in my mind was coming in one piece it was all coming together and yet I got such terrible scores I felt like I had written something amazing and in the end my score was fours and fives Always in the very low I did read what they had to say and what they had to say was actually very true sometimes when I'm doing analytical essay is I do just describe or summarize what I am reading and I feel like that isn't what I truly need to do what I really need to do is focus on the language and not what the author is trying to convey Just another thing I realized when doing peer reviews and I'm glad I did have my peer review my work because it did give me Insight on what I was doing wrong and they had some very important and very valuable things to say all there will little harsh I think it did help.
